Eight lads. Five rounds. Seven nights. One free day nobody will remember. Everything you need to know is on this page, so no excuses for missing the van.
All pick-ups are from the Grand Mercure Patong lobby. Tee times are confirmed, so the van leaves on time whether you're in it or not.
Check in, dump the clubs, find the pool bar. Early night recommended. Early night not expected.
Opening round on the hardest track of the week. Nothing like a gentle start.
Earlier pick-up as it's the far end of the island. Bring plenty of balls, there's water everywhere.
Three rounds in three days. Free day tomorrow, so tonight is fair game.
Ideas welcome. Whoever suggests a 7am hike is buying the first round. Foot massage, facial and the best flat white in town are all listed under Highlights.
Second crack at Red Mountain. You know where the trouble is now. Doesn't mean you'll avoid it.
Late tee time for the final round, so a lie-in is built in. Last night in Patong follows.
Three of Phuket's best. Two of them twice. Every round comes with a cart and your own caddie.
Carved out of an old tin mine in Kathu, with huge elevation changes, red rock walls and views across the island. Regularly rated the best course in Phuket and it plays like it. Take the cart path seriously.
The sister course to the famous Canyon Course, which hosted the Johnnie Walker Classic. The Lake Course is a bit more forgiving off the tee but lives up to its name, with water in play on most holes.
Red Mountain's next-door neighbour, built around the huge Crystal Lake. Wider fairways and a friendlier layout, so this is where the scores should come. The final round is here, so the tour will be decided on it.
Eight golfers, two fourballs, one van.
The best of everything within a short walk of the hotel, researched and rated. Walk times are from the Grand Mercure lobby. Prices are a guide, in Thai Baht, and the bars will change them whenever they feel like it.
The one place in Patong where Thais actually eat. Southern heat, proper holy basil, fried egg on top. Michelin-listed and open until 2am, so it works after the bars too. Say "mai phet" if you don't want it hot, or don't say it and find out.
Phuket's best-known specialty roaster, now with a Patong branch. Own-roasted Thai beans, proper espresso, milk done right. The morning-after fix before the van leaves.
Closest properly-run shop to the hotel. French-managed since 2006, ten reflexology chairs, spotless, air-con, and zero seediness. Ask for "strong" if you want it to actually do something after 18 holes.
The place blokes on TripAdvisor keep naming for a men's facial. Cleanse, scrub, steam, extraction, mask, plus a head and shoulder rub. Rated 4.7 from nearly 1,000 reviews and walk-ins are fine. It's a shared room of about 20 beds, so no hiding.
The only Irish-owned pub in Phuket and the expat default for a big match. Proper draught Guinness, published prices, screens everywhere for Premier League, Champions League, F1 and golf. Quiz on Wednesdays. Closes at 11:30pm, so it's the warm-up, not the finish.
400 metres of noise, neon and bad decisions, a 10 to 12 minute walk down Rat-U-Thit Rd from the hotel. Closed to traffic from 6pm, quiet until 9pm, peaking 10pm to 2am, clubs to 4am.

Per caddie, per 18 holes, in cash. Five rounds, so budget around THB 2,500 and bring small notes.
Three hours ahead of Dubai, six ahead of the UK. All times on this page are Phuket local time.
October is the tail end of the wet season. Expect low 30s and a chance of an afternoon downpour. Pack a waterproof and a spare glove.
Cards work at the hotel and clubhouses. Cash for caddie tips, taxis and the bars.
The tour operator runs a round-the-clock hotline for the trip. Number to be shared on the group chat before we fly.
Per golfer, based on 8 golfers travelling together, single Superior Room at the Grand Mercure. Flights, food and drinks are on top.
